Jeff Tucker – CEO
Jeff Tucker is third generation CEO of Tucker Company Worldwide, America’s oldest privately held freight brokerage. Jeff is immediate past chairman of the board for the Transportation Intermediaries Association (“TIA”). He has testified before Congress, and has advised on national highway safety matters at the request of the FMCSA Administrator. Jeff is a member of the NITL board – the largest shipper organization – and chairs its Highway Transportation Committee. He has co-authored TIA’s “Carrier Selection Framework ” and his commentaries appear in Journal of Commerce, Logistics Management, Transport Topics, Defense Transportation Journal, American Journal of Transportation, Logistics Journal and The Wall Street Journal.

Jim Tucker – President & COO
Jim graduated with a B.A. in Economics from University of Delaware in 1993, and completed his M.B.A. in Finance from Temple University in 2002. Jim became a CTB in 1994. He worked for two years in Tucker’s operations, coordinating flatbed and heavy haul shipments. From 1995 to 2000 Jim was a national account sales representative. In 2001 Jim was named Executive Vice President, in charge of finance, accounting and administration. In 2004 Jim was named President and COO of Tucker Company Worldwide.
Gene Wherrity – Vice President of Operations
Gene Wherrity is Tucker Company Worldwide’s longest tenured employee, having been with the company over 30 years. Gene is responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s operations department, which includes customer service, dispatch, carrier recruitment retention and project management. Gene began his transportation career at Kraft Foods, Inc., and went on to manage the private tanker fleet for Merit Oil Corporation. He joined Tucker as a Dispatcher in 1983, and moved up through the ranks as General Manager and Director of Operations before becoming the Vice President of Operations. Gene is a Certified Transportation Broker with a B.S. in Business and Psychology from Rutgers University.
Leigh Baker – Vice President of Strategic Customer Integration
Leigh Baker serves as Vice President of Strategic Customer Integration, overseeing the company’s largest accounts. For the past 13 years, Leigh has been instrumental in attracting, servicing and retaining Tucker’s key account base. She spends her time managing a team of key account leads, liaising with customers, conducting in-depth business reviews and problem solving behind the scenes with the operations teams to make sure the clients’ experience is seamless. Through the years, Leigh has developed a unique skillset by holding a variety of roles within the company – from logistics services, to commercial sales and national accounts. Prior to Tucker, Leigh spent time in both the retail and recruiting fields. She is a graduate of Rutgers University, an active participant in a number of industry, freight security, healthcare, and transportation associations, and serves on the Board of the Philadelphia Traffic Club.
